Call for Abstracts
Abstract submission deadline extended to February 5, 2019.
The primary goal for ICAIS 2019 is to build a technical program that delivers the best science on invasive species in freshwater and marine environments to benefit managers and stakeholders worldwide.
The theme of ICAIS 2019 is Aquatic Invasions in the Anthropocene, and will focus on the following topics:
- Predictive ecology and risk assessment
- Ecophysiology and adaptive evolution of invaders
- Advances in invasion theory
- Effects of multiple stressors on invasion success and impact
- Impacts on biodiversity and ecosystems
- New developments in management and control
- Policy and public outreach
- Conservation and restoration issues
The Technical Program Committee invites the submission of 300-word abstracts for oral and poster presentations addressing invasive species issues in freshwater and marine environments, with preference given to the topics listed above. The language of the conference is English.
There will be a Student Competition with prizes awarded for the best oral and poster presentations as judged by an impartial panel of academic experts.
Submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed and selected for presentation based on scientific rigor and relevance to ICAIS.

Abstract Preparation and Submission
Abstracts are to be formatted according to the submission guidelines and using the Microsoft Word template. Abstracts are to be submitted by e-mail to the Conference Administrator before February 5, 2019.
